Emergency Food Relief

If you are unable to feed your family or yourself during the 7-day lockdown in the ACT, help is available.

If needed, you can request a delivery of food and essential items to your front door for free.

You can call VolunteeringACT and order a limited number of items from a list of pantry items.

The items on the list are the same as were in the food hampers supplied by the Canberra Relief Network (CRN) last year.

Fresh produce is not available at this stage. You can only order items on the list. There is a limited supply available of some items.

A volunteer from the ACT Emergency Services Agency (ESA) will collect and deliver your order to your front door.

The ESA volunteers are not permitted to enter your home.

If you are unable to collect the delivery from your front door you will need to arrange for a carer or approved visitor to assist you.

This is an urgent relief service for those most in need. The ACT Government will monitor the demand for this service over the next 7 days to see if further food relief is required.

To place an order for emergency food and essential items call:

VolunteeringACT on 1800 43 11 33 between 9 am and 5 pm each day of the 7-day lockdown

If the phone is not answered, please leave a message and someone will return your call.
